The value of collaboration between companies for sustainable development

Italchimica had the honor of hosting a delegation from the Sustainability Group of Confindustria Veneto Est for a meeting aimed at exchanging knowledge and expertise in the field of sustainable development.

The event saw the participation of representatives from prestigious companies such as Codognotto, ITW, Buzzi Unicem, and Scarpa, as well as Confindustria coordinators Mario Paronetto and Silvia Dal Cin. Throughout the day, results and objectives on sustainability issues were shared, giving Italchimica the opportunity to showcase its values, vision, and actions taken.

The feedback was extremely positive, with comments emphasizing the importance of teamwork, enthusiasm, and commitment to topics that must increasingly be part of growth strategies. The visit was part of the “Sustainable Development Models” project by the Sustainability Group of Confindustria Veneto Est, now in its ninth year, which since October 2023 has seen the participation of over 70 companies exchanging best practices through mutual company visits. This project has confirmed the value of networking to create an environment of continuous learning and collective improvement.

The Climate City Contract Padova 2030

Italchimica is also proud to announce its participation in the Climate City Contract with the Municipality of Padova. This initiative is part of the European Union’s program to have smart and climate-neutral cities by 2030, an ambitious goal that requires the contribution of all key local players.

Although cities occupy only 4% of the EU’s land area, they host 75% of its citizens, consume over 65% of its energy, and account for more than 70% of its CO2 emissions. The goal is to involve local authorities, businesses, associations, citizens, as well as regional and national authorities, to make 100 cities smart and climate-neutral by 2030 and ensure that these cities become hubs of experimentation and innovation to guide all others to the same result by 2050.

These actions demonstrate the importance of collaboration and knowledge exchange for a more sustainable future. Italchimica will continue to work diligently to promote sustainability initiatives, aware of the importance of networking and engaging its community and the entire territory in achieving common goals.
